Event Description

Seed House Project is having the largest Santa Monica-Venice running event of the year! We are hosting a great fundraiser as an awareness of the homeless youth epidemic in the city of Los Angeles, CA.  Seed House Project ends homelessness by creating programs, and resources that allows the homeless youth to thrive through adulthood. Through our programs we are able to intervene before chronic homelessness happens.

Seed House Project is hosting a 5k Jogathon/Walkathon to raise funds and awareness for the homeless youth in America. 30% of the homeless population is from youth between the ages of 18-24. Our theme this year is “Homeless but not Hopeless” and we are running for the homeless youth to give them hope for a better future. Through this event we will be able to raise funds to provide more resources, employment opportunity, and hope for the homeless youth in Los Angeles.

Thus far we have employed over 40 homeless youth through our employment program, and through this event we hope to be able to double the amount by the end of this year

This year’s Santa Monica-Venice Homeless But Not Hopeless Run will take place on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 and will include the famous 5k that includes a long stretch down the iconic Venice Boardwalk and finishes at the world famous Venice Pavilion. This is a flat, fast 5k.
