Join us for Rancho Mission Viejo’s

 3rd Annual Turkey Trot on The Ranch!

The race features a 5K and 1K Little Gobbler’s Run in the beautiful setting of Rancho Mission Viejo.  Bring your family and friends and join the fun!

Thanksgiving Day

November 28. 2019

Come dressed in theme or in running attire for Rancho Mission Viejo’s  3rd Annual 5K and 1K Little Gobbler’s Run.  Pick your pace and your distance to wobble or run along the scenic trail and pathway through The Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo that connects the villages of Sendero and Esencia. 

Proceeds from the race will benefit The Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo.

Day of registration is available at Sendero Field on the day of the event or at packet pick up the day before from 12-6:00 PM location TBD

Event Information

Gobble up the scenic beauty and pick your own pace!  Join in on the 5K or the 1K Little Gobbler’s Run.  Come dressed in theme or in running attire!  Finish the course with a feathered friend “photo op!”

All participants will receive a finishers medal and a fun event t-shirt.  

Plan to arrive at least 60 to 90 minutes before your start time! 5K runners MUST be shuttled to the start area.

Timing and Results

Chip timing will be used for the 5K race. Official results and awards will be based on your Chip Time (net time on the course). All runners must have a timing chip or they may not be timed and could be ineligible for any award. Results will be posted near the Finish Line and can be viewed at a later time at www.turkeytrotontheranch.com or www.gemininext.com

 

Race Number and Timing Chip

Inside your Race Packet you should find your race number (bib) and timing chip.  Prior to the race start attach the bib to the front of your shirt and secure with the safety pins included in packet, your timing chip is on your bib so do not bend the number bib. Runners crossing the start line or entering the finish area without the timing chip attached may not be timed and could be disqualified from receiving any award.

 

The Start

 All 5K runners should be in the start area by 8:15AM and the race will begin promptly at 8:30AM.  The 5K race will begin at the Canyon House and finish down at Sendero Field.  A shuttle service will be provided to get participants to the start line for the 5K. Prior to the start, please attach your bib securely to the front of your shirt.  (And remember - no chip, no time.) Runners should line up according to their anticipated pace. Strollers are welcome, but please try to stay to the side.  The 1K Little Gobbler’s Run will start and finish at the start/finish arch at Sendero Field at 10AM.  Please NO Pets on the course. This event is on a closed course and only for paid participants. This is a charity event and Runners without numbers will be not permitted.

 

(ROLLERBLADES, HEADPHONES, PETS AND BICYCLES ARE PROHIBITED)

 

The Finish

Results will be posted near the finish line as available and will be updated continually.

 

Awards

At 9:45AM race prizes will be awarded to top three men and women in the 5K. 

All participants will receive a custom collectors finisher medal.
