MORE MILES BRING MORE SMILES
Join Friends of Somerset Regional Animal Shelter as we come together VIRTUALLY to raise funds for the Cupid Fund.
We are wiping our paws of the pandemic and hosting our first annual virtual challenge! Through all these difficult times, one thing that remains unchanged is how much shelter animals still need our support. Please consider joining us virtually so we are able to provide veterinary care prior to placing them into loving and caring homes.
The Cupid Fund
The Cupid Fund is a special fund dedicated to helping our shelter animals that are in need of extraordinary medical treatment. The fund provides care for any animal needing more than the the basics which include spay/neuter and vaccines. All medical tests, blood work, specialist consults, surgery, treatment of illnesses, etc. are paid for by donations to FOSRAS Cupid Fund.
Challenge Details
Between October 1st and November 30th, we challenge our community, near and far, to walk or run 25,000 miles to support the Cupid Fund. Sounds like a lot? Don't worry, you can double your miles by bringing your favorite rescue on a walk!
How It Works
- Register for the Virtual Challenge - $35 for humans, $0 for pets! Your tri-blend t-shirt will be mailed directly to your home when the challenge ends.
- Consider including a fundraiser with your miles. We've created the page for you, all you have to do is share it! A prize will be mailed to the top fundraiser. Click here to get started.
- Starting 10/1/20, enjoy our interactive online results by logging you and your pets miles on a daily or weekly basis here.
- Upload pictures of your effort to help us build that community feeling at a time when we can't all be together.
Photo Contest
With an event that includes Halloween, Thanksgiving and ultimately brings happiness to shelter pets, we can't help but include a photo contest! All pictures uploaded of pets will be entered to win in the following categories - best smile, best costume, best Thanksgiving / capture of gratitude. Prizes will be mailed.
