Event Description
A family event for a family day! No one would argue that 2020 has been full of change for all of us, and an emotional roller coaster to boot. One thing that hasn't changed is that there are hundreds of people who rely on the Faith Mission homeless shelter for accomodations, clothing, training and food. And this race is the biggest fundraiser for the Mission.
We have gotten the green light to move forward with our race- modified for THIS YEAR ONLY. Whether you are hosting a celebration or a Zoom Thanksgiving, come out and get some fresh air (either with us or host your own little neighborhood gathering) and support the work of the mission.
We will have eight start times or waves/corrals/groupings of 200 people or less each. The start and finish line are separated so we will not have a gigantic gathering of people, as in the past. [Suggestion: Poll your tribe about the timeslot they would like and then sign up as a group.]
What is new? A scaled down, simpler event.
* Eight start times * You must wear a mask at the starting line and to go through the finish line/goody bag chute. * Due to planned construction in downtown Elkhart, we are back at Concord Mall- which provides easy in and out * Masks are required to get your packet and social distancing inside Concord Mall will be requested.
* November 10 is the shirt cutoff date. We are not ordering extra to minimize interactions at packet pickup.
We have a virtual option this year- you can get everything MAILED to you: Bib, Shirt and Participant medal for the price of entry.
We will have prizes for top 5 MF who are chipped. Since there are different start times, we will mail you your award.
What is the same?
Menu pricing (timing chips and shirts are optional) .
Every dime of your bib entry goes to the Faith Mission towards food, programs, counseling and shelter.
No awards ceremony, no age group awards, but times will be posted on a big screen, texted to you and posted to Stone Soup, Faith Mission and EpicRaceTiming after the event. Everyone gets a finisher medal and snack bag.
You can still sign up groups of people under Group Registration and pick up all the bibs/chips/shirts together at GROUP PICKUP as before.
