Event Description
The Community Ties Bike Tour features 31, 62 or 100-mile flat to rolling miles through scenic areas, rare bird habitats and a section of the Ohio to Erie Trail. Full-service tour with locally sourced, homestyle box lunch included from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Also an 8-mile Family Ride option primarily on trails. Benefits Ohio to Erie Trail through Delaware County. Maps, SAG and snacks stops provided. Appropriate health and safety practices will be encouraged.
Advance registration closes July 18, 2021, and includes a guaranteed Glass Rooster Cannery lunch. Day-of-ride registration - $45 for individuals or $50 for Family Ride - includes lunch but may not be from Glass Rooster Cannery.
A NOTE ABOUT ADVANCE REGISTRATION DEADLINE - A delicious, wholesome, locally sourced lunch from Glass Rooster Cannery is a popular part of the ride. In order to ensure we have a Glass Rooster Cannery lunch for each rider who pre-registers we have set Sunday, July 18, as the advance registration deadline. Day-of-ride registrants will receive lunch but it may not be from Glass Rooser Cannery. We appreciate your understanding of our need to confirm the number of lunches with Glass Rooster Cannery early in the week of the ride.
Event details and schedule
Registration and start for the 31, 62 or 100-mile rides from 6:30-9 a.m. at Northside Fellowship Church, Westerville, OH. Pre-registration $35 ends July 18 and guaranteees a Glass Rooster Cannery lunch; day-of registration $45 includes lunch but may not be from Glass Rooster Cannery. We suggest starting no later than 7:30 a.m. for 100 miles, 8:30 a.m. for 62 miles and 9 a.m. for 31 miles.
Registration and start for Family Ride at 10 a.m. for families which include parent(s) and up to 4 minor children. Pre-registration $40 ends July 18 and guarantees a Glass Rooster Cannery lunch; day-of registration $50 includes lunch but may not be from Glass Rooster Cannery. Family Ride participants may choose to ride two additional miles on day of ride for a total of 10 miles. PLEASE REGISTER ONE ADULT ONLY ON THIS SITE FOR THE FAMILY RIDE BY JULY 18. ON DAY OF RIDE, REGISTER MINOR CHILDREN AND SECOND ADULT. DOING THIS WILL GET YOU THE PRE-REGISTRATION PRICE OF $40 FOR THE FAMILY RIDE.
Parking at the church or nearby school lot. Helmets required.
