Event Description

Crossfit Pell City & Core 3 are excited to partner with the Lighten the Load Campaign to raise money for the St. Clair County foster care system. Lighten the Load Campaign is a program to collect luggage and monetary donations for local children within the foster care system. Lighten the Load Campaign is a nonprofit organization that began within the local juvenile dependency court to support foster children. The 5K will begin at 8am with the kids fun run scheduled to start at 9am. 

5K registration is $30 and includes a bib and t-shirt. The kids fun run is free. Please make sure you are registered before October 4th to guarantee a t-shirt. 

Bib and shirt pick up will be Friday, October 29 from 6pm to 7pm at the Pell City Courthouse. We will have same day registration starting at 7am, but we cannot guarantee you a t-shirt. Parking will be downtown. We will have vendors and food trucks set up in front of the courthouse as well. 

In addition to race medals we will also have a costume contest. Medals will be given to the male and female winners of each age group as well as the top 3 male and females. Age divisions are as follows: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & up.

This race will go on rain or shine. - No Refunds.
