Event Description

Join us on Saturday, September 18th for Maryville's 13th Annual Race for Recovery 5K Run and Fun Walk at Cooper River Park! This event has something for the whole family: t-shirts, awards, refreshments, and a photo booth to capture memories! Activities for children under 12. Our 5K is a timed race and awards will be given to the two top males and females in different age groups.

You can also choose to participate virtually!  You can run or walk anywhere, on a treadmill, at your favorite track, or try a new place. You will receive a t-shirt and special recognition will be given for the fastest 5K time. Please post your virtual 5K results on the results tab on the homepage.

All proceeds help fund the Peter P. Black IV Scholarship Fund at Maryville, which supports those unable to afford treatment. The fund was founded by Kathleen “Kate” Holt in honor of her son Peter, who passed away in 2004 from a substance use disorder.
