Event Description

The 20th annual Wine and Roses ride starts at the park in Templeton, California. There are two ride options: a metric (62 miles) and a half metric (31 miles). The metric goes down the legendary Hwy 229 south of Creston and both rides go over the newly constructed Linne bridge and through the scenic rolling vineyards of the San Luis Obispo back country.  Traffic is light and much of the route has been recently repaved.

The early-bird fee of $60 covers sags, rest stops and a great post-ride BBQ in the park with award-winning local wines and roses for riders. Additional BBQ meals are available for your non-participating friends and family for $20 per person.

You will be able to check in Saturday evening (4:30 – 7 pm) at our pre-ride fiesta or Sunday morning (recommended start: Metric-8 am, Half metric-9:30 am)

Templeton is a town of 7500 on scenic Highway 101, halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It’s a half-hour drive north of San Luis Obispo and 5 miles south of Paso Robles in the heart of some of the best vineyards in California.
