Event Description

The Classic Center Cultural Foundation provides resources to entertain and educate the local community by providing and supporting diverse performing, visual, and culinary arts programs, as well as workforce development initiatives, while working to keep The Classic Center in a state-of-the-art condition.

Bread for Life promises hospitality job training that brings together industry leaders as instructors, a dedicated crew of volunteers, and local participants. Those enrolled will develop a network of hospitality professionals, creating viable job leads which will prepare them for a sustainable career in the hospitality job market.  

Event details and schedule

Early Packet Pickup and Registration: Friday, November 12 at 5:30 p.m. at The Classic Center

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Saturday, November 13 at 6:45 a.m. at The Classic Center

5K: Starts at 7:30 a.m.

Awards: Trophies awarded to Overall M/F and Master’s M/F. Awards given to the top three M/F in each standard five-year age group from 10 and under to 75 and over.

Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 10/22/21  Registrations after that date and on race day will receive shirts while supplies last.  There will be plenty of refreshments.

Course:  5K course is an out and back through downtown Athens and the Boulevard neighborhood. Walkers and strollers are allowed but leave Fido at home!

Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.ClassicOneStop.com, www.ClassicRaceServices.com, www.Active.com, www.AthLinks.com.

Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2021 Black Bag Race Series and Clover Glove Race Series.

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
