Event Description

Making healthy choices, one stride at a time. Join our in person AND virtual 5k on October 3rd! Talk early, talk often and make a difference.

Where: Ridley Creek State Park 11A and 11B OR virtual if you can't join us!

What: This year we are thrilled to be back in person for the race as well as virtually for those who cannot join us at Ridley Creek State Park; run anytime leading up to October 3rd to be a part of the superhero fun! Awards will be given on site and on Facebook Live on race day. All proceeds support families struggling with addiction and mental health in the Delaware Valley.

How will this work? Register for the race, grab your cape or your mask (or just your t-shirt), and get ready to run for prevention! Depending on your race choice, we will share information on how to participate and be part of the Superhero team!

All participants registering before September 25 will receive a tech-tee and a 5k fun with items you need to have your own Superhero Run/Walk and Festival. Expect fun family activities, community resources, and some exciting surprises. At the in-person race, we'll have amazing family fun activities so bring your kids, dogs, and friends!

Why: Our prevention theme is especially relevant after a year of social distancing. The isolation, worry, and anxiety triggered by the pandemic have contributed to an increase in drug and alcohol misuse and abuse. These circumstances are having a devastating impact on children and families as a whole. The Superhero Run & Wellness Festival offers families prevention skills, builds awareness of substance abuse, and shares resources.

Registration will be open soon! Any additional questions, email Liia Richmond at LRichmond@cgrc.org
