5K Road Race & 1 mile Fun Run to raise money for the Parkinson’s Community.

Christin's father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 50. She quickly learned the remaining time she had with her father would look different. Parkinson's disease has NO cure. It is a progressive disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement. Parkinson's disease causes tremors, loss in balance/inability to walk, difficulty with speech, and difficulty in swallowing. All daily activities that we each take for granted. Before Christin's father (LC's) passing he had lost all mobility.

100% of proceeds are going directly to Rock Steady Boxing.  Rock Steady Boxing provides non-contact boxing classes for sufferers of Parkinson’s disease. This event is to honor those who have fought and those who continue to fight the Parkinson’s battle. Rock Steady is a place where the Parkinson’s community can come together to fight together and improve their quality of life.
