Our Story

On December 21, 2019 our lives were shattered when we discovered that our youngest son, Brett, had died in his sleep due to a "rare" complication of epilepsy. Sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) claims more victims than SIDS annually yet it is never spoken of in our medical community. Most families who suffer this loss report that they "were never told about SUDEP." It is our hope that through education we can save a life. Additionally, through our Brett's Bands campaign started in 2020, we intend to raise funding to arm parents and caregivers with tools to help prevent the death of their loved one.

Find us on Facebook at Brett's Bands for SUDEP Awareness and join us on October 9th as we run/walk to remember Brett and make a difference for others who suffer from epilepsy!

Thank you so much for the time you are giving us and joining us in this mission.
