Event Description

The Moonlight Mile returns this year! We will run, in-person, with a new location on the beautiful and historic Maryville College campus.  All proceeds support Good Neighbors, which is a non-profit that provides financial assistance to Blount County neighbors in a temporary crisis. DATE | TIME | PLACE: Saturday, September 25, 2021, 9 pm. Maryville College campus, McArthur Pavilion, 825 Morningside Lane, Maryville, 37804.

We hope you will join us this year for the Maryville Moonlight Mile! The race will begin around dark at 9 pm, and we will provide neon bracelets and necklaces.  Activities and games will be available starting at 7:30 pm near the McArthur Pavilion. Awards will be distributed after the results are in, and our gift to you is a 16 oz. steel pint glass with treats.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Tons of family fun!

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Single-loop 1-mile flat, fast course, traveling on campus roads.

REGISTRATION: Early-bird online registration is available through noon on Wednesday, September 22nd: $25 + fees.  Online late registration is available 12:01 pm September 22nd through day of race: $35 + fees.

TIMING: This event is timed electronically with a timing chip attached to your race bib. Your race number/chip is programmed to coincide with your individual race number. During the event, you will cross mats that will record your time from your disposable race bib. Please do not BEND, TEAR OR ALTER your race number. Runners must wear the bibs on the FRONT of their person, and must wear the bib number associated with their name.

RESULTS: Timing services are provided by RaceDay Events. Results will be available at www.RunSignUp.com.

SAFETY AND COURSE ETIQUETTE:  Aid and water stations will be provided at the finish line. Because you will be running on campus roads at dark, the use of headphones are discouraged and participants do so at their own risk. Bicycles, roller blades, and pets are prohibited.  Note: because this is an open course, there may be traffic on the roads.
