Event Description

The sisters of Phi Sigma Rho invite you to join us in our fourth annual Scarecrow Scamper 5K on October 17th at 8:30am. Get in the fall spirit and help us raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with this 5K race through UF Campus, starting and finishing at Flavet Field.

Before your run, stop by our table to receive a race T-shirt* and other materials. After your race, hang around for some snacks, race goodies, raffles, and games! We'll have music, hula-hooping, cornholes, and more for you family, and friends.

Prizes will be given to the top three finishers!

If you can't join us in person, we'd love to have you support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society virtually! You can run the race on your own time, but still pick up your race shirt and goodies on race day!

*Race day T-shirts are only guaranteed for members who sign up by October 3rd. If you sign up after, we will try our very best to get you a shirt on race-day.

Phi Sigma Rho is a social sorority for women in engineering and engineering technology. Through Phi Sigma Rho, our sisters develop the highest standard of personal integrity, strive for academic excellence, and build friendships that will last a lifetime. We strive to give back to our community in our endeavors, and raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a cause near to our heart. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds life-saving research and support for people battling cancer. They are the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to curing blood cancer by raising funds for cancer research! They also help assist the families of patients by providing living accommodations for those who have to travel far for their treatments.
