Event Description
Join us for Family CT's 11th Annual Walk, Run & Ride to End Domestic Violence. For the second year in a row, we've expanded our event to a month-long virtual event. When you register to be a part of our 11th Annual Walk, Run & Ride to End Domestic Violence, you will automatically be entered to win a Fitbit! Join us any time (or many times!) during the month and be sure to post photos on Instagram and use hashtag #FamilyCTEndsDV21 to participate. Each time you post and use the hashtag on a public Instagram page, you will be entered to win a Kindle Fire tablet! The more you post, the more chances to win. Don't miss out - join in on the fun by posting photos of how you're walking, running, or riding throughout the month of October. In addition, become a fundraiser with your registration and win prizes like:

Why participate? 1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner. You will be participating to be a voice to your community impacting Connecticut and beyond. Your participation is important - and it’s FREE!
When: October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. You can walk, run or ride anytime throughout the month!
Where: Domestic Violence happens everywhere, so your participation anywhere helps bring more awareness to your community and throughout Connecticut.
Who: Everyone. Domestic violence impacts men, women, children and people of all ages. It impacts communities and families and people just like you.
How it works:
1. Pledge
By registering, you are pledging to promote a community culture of non-violence. Your participation will give voice to domestic violence awareness in your community, Connecticut and beyond. You can pledge as an individual, create a team or create a group at work. Be creative! Create your own challenge to end domestic violence in your community.
2. Participate
Walk, run or ride any time during the month! By registering on RunSignUp, you will automatically be entered to win an exciting prize!
3. Post
Show us how you've been walking, running, and riding during the month by posting your activity on Instagram (@familyct). Your post will help build awareness within our community. Use our hashtag #FamilyCTEndsDV21. Each time you post to a public Instagram page, you will be entered to win a prize - each post is one entry to win a prize! Follow us on Instagram to get involved in weekly contests, too, for your chance to win even more prizes!
4. Fundraise
Raise funds to benefit Family Centered Services of CT and the families we serve. Register as a fundraiser. You can make a donation yourself and ask your friends, family, and colleagues to make a donation on your behalf by sending them the link to your custom fundraiser URL once you register on RunSignUp as a fundraiser. Use your social media to spread the word! Help us fulfill our mission so that all families are safe and nurturing places where children can succeed.
Prizes will be awarded for the team* who raises the most money, individual* who raises the most money, four weekly Instagram contests, registration prize, and more! *Individual fundraiser winner cannot be the same as team fundraiser winner
