Event Description

The Alamo Chapter of the Associatin of the United States Army 0.5K is Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, starting at Burleson Yard Beer Garden and ending at Alamo Beer in San Antonio, Texas. That’s right – 0.5K – a half kilometer – 540 more or less yards (who’s checking?).

Join your fellow slackers for a few minutes of glory, celebration, and participation trophies for everyone to raise money for a great organization, the Alamo Chapter of the Association of the United States Army.

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational and professional development organization serving our Service Members, Cadets, Civilians, and their Families. We assist through fundraising, bringing dollars to those in need within our military community. We educate the local public about our National Defense and economic power that is provided to our community.

 We continually call out to all who wish to serve through Volunteerism, Retirees, Separated Veterans, and Concerned Citizens who are high energy and want to give back to the Giants and Heroes who walk among us.

Event details and schedule

0.5K begins a Burleson Yard Beer Garden with a nice stroll to Alamo Beer Brewery. Yep-a nice stroll of 540 yards. More or less-who's counting? Rejuvenation station set-up at the halfway point to get you through the remainder of physically grueling and mentally exhausting "run" (walk). Participants will enjoy a nice beer at Burleson with a beer to finish the run at Alamo. Stay for Oktoberfest at Alamo Beer Brewery (participants will have to pay for entrance to Oktoberfest). 

Participants should bring waivers and must bring a valid ID.

Costumes highly encouraged. Prizes given for best male, female and group costumes. T-shirts guarenteed for the first 150. We'll reorder if we run out!
