Event Description

The inaugural Alley Trail Marathon is a fun, fast, and challenging looped course taking place at Alley Park in Lancaster, OH on November 20. The race benefits Friends of Lancaster Parks and Recreation, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing and expanding the program of Lancaster Parks and Recreation.

All entrants will receive a t-shirt and race swag; and finisher medal if they complete their distance in the allotted time. Each distance will have two scoring categories (male and female) with the following prizes:
First place: $100 cash + prizes
Second place: $50 cash + prizes
Third place: $25 cash + prizes

Course
The Alley Trail Marathon uses the park’s Alley Trail, a 2.2 mile looped route that circumnavigates the park and features a mixture of technical single track, flowing double track, rocks, roots, sand, and grass. The route begins and ends on a brief road section at the entrance to the park, where runners will have access to an aid station and drop bag. The half marathon will complete 6 loops and the full marathon 12. Each distance has an 8 hour cut-off. Course profile: Strava
