Event Description

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers. It is estimated that in 2021, approximately 30% of all new women cancer diagnoses will be breast cancer.  On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States.  

2021 has been a powerful reminder of how much we need to help support one another and take care of ourselves.  Our choices and actions have the power to protect the most vulnerable among us.  We can show every woman that her life is important by working together to inspire hope and becoming a positive force of encouragement.  

This virtual 5K race is to support and recognize Breast Cancer Awareness.  Show your pink off while walking or running your 5K.  Since this is a virtual 5K race you can run or walk anywhere.  The virtual race will be open for the month of October.  Please upload your results to the website.  We welcome photos of you pinked out.  Each participant will get a medal once all submissions have been captured.
