ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD...WE ARE VIRTUAL                

The entire month of OCTOBER 1-31, 2022 will be dedicated to our "VIRTUAL & IN-PERSON WALKS " for the 17th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Virtual Fitness Walk PLUS+.  Early registration starts September 1, 2022.  Registration fee is $35 / person whether you particpate virturally or in person.  

NEW THIS YEAR:  This October, we are making up for lost time because of the pandemic with adding two "in person" walking dates & sites:  October 9th @ Old Fisherman's Field Cobb on Cobb Island, MD and October 15th @ the Village Green in Indian Head, MD.  SO... There is NO EXCUSE not to join us virtually or in person to support the men and women in our lives that are afflicted with breast cancer in the Southen Maryland tri-county area. 

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL / IN PERSON WALK...PLUS+ Event? 

Our Virtual Event is just that - it can be ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE and takes place the entire month of October.  It can be done in your neighborhood, at your favorite local trail or park, at your office during quick lunch breaks, or wherever you feel safe and motivated to complete your 5K.  You are not restricted to walking. You can jog, run, dance, skate, bike, paddle board, kayak, do yoga or do ANYTHING PHYSICAL, ANYWHERE, and complete ANYTIME during the month of October. 

Our In-Person Walks will give you an opportunity to meet with friends and family in person.  You will have the opportunity of walking either on Cobb Island, MD on October 9th or at the Village Green in Indian Head, MD on October 15th or participate in both.  These events will start with registration at 8:00 am and the walks will begin at 8:30 am.     

• OCTOBER 9th ... Cobb Island Walk has a unique feature as it is in conjunction with the "Annual Witches on the River" takes place in the afternoon. This is Cobb Island's annual kayaking/paddle boarding event with folks dressed as witches.  Come join us after the walk... enjoy a nice breakfast or lunch at one of our local resturants then watch the Witches paddle on the river... It's will be a really fun day of events.

• OCTOBER 15th...Indian Head Walk.  This annual event is open to the entire community and will take place on the Village Green at 100 Walter Thomas Rd. Indian Head, MD. This walk features a gathering of friends and family walking together to bring awareness to breast cancer.  The walk will start at 8:30am with a fitness warmup.      

SHOW US YOUR PINK during your Virtual / Walk PLUS+ and share your experience. Take pictures of your walk/run.  Then upload it to our Facebook webpage @#Sisters at Heart Breast Cancer Support Group of Southern Maryland, the Run Sign Up website as well as post it on "YOUR" social media pages to share and celebrate with other participants how you completed in the event.
