CHANGING THE PERCEPTION OF AGING

Founded in 1997 the internationally-known nonprofit Second Wind Dreams® is dedicated to changing the perception of aging through the fulfillment of dreams and the offering of educational programs including its flagship, sensitivity training, the Virtual Dementia Tour®.

The Find Your Second Wind 5K: a chip timed race with unique “dream catcher” age group awards. The route is on a mixture of black top path and crushed stone.

Gifts of Light Walk for Dementia: is a 1-mile, untimed walk with an opportunity for a team member to experience a Virtual Dementia Tour aspect on their walk.

Hula Hoop Contest and Clinic: After the run/walk we’ll have a clinic for those wanting to learn the exercise of hula hooping followed by a contest for the most seasoned of hoopers! $100 Gift prize for winner!
