Event Description

Held on the recently inaugurated Morse Park HomeStead and RoughRiders trail, this race qualifies for any New-Year's resolution to start a healthier and more active lifestyle!
This walkers', joggers' and bike trail is a unique treasure in SW Missouri for its nature scenes and location. The single trail is easy to moderate in difficulty and has previously been accomplished by runners of all ages and capabilities, although the youngest of runners may need adult supervision. 
The run is held in winter, so expect not just the occasional rock or root, leaves or branch, but also a dirt path in any type of weather condition. Prepare for 60F sunny weather, 10F and snow or anything in between. Winter weather is par for the course and does not cancel the race.

Extremely affordable race because all of us are volunteers. Race is $25 ($20 for juniors 16 and under, for seniors 65 and over and for Joplin RoadRunners).
All net proceeds go to Neosho Hope Kitchen, a local charity providing daily meals for the needy in Neosho.
Awards to the top male and female runners, but also to the top-10 in age graded performance, a ranking based on an age/gender handicap system, creating a level playing field for all runners regardless of age or gender (for more info, please see https://www.runraceresults.com/AgeGrade.htm).
Achievement medals to all participants.
Race may start in gender- and group-specific waves (male runners - female runners - families) with a few minutes interval.
