Event Description
Save the date! Join us as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with our annual Village Runner St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run, community walk, and Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold for kids ages 4-9 on Sunday, March 13, 2022! All participants will receive a St. Patrick’s Day Run t-shirt. There will also be chip timing, age division awards, and cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K.
Cost:
5K Run/Walk (all ages)
$40 per entry by February 13th, 2022
$45 per entry after February 13th, 2022
Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold (shorter race for kids’ ages 4-9; see distances below)
$35 per entry by February 13th, 2022
$40 per entry after February 13th, 2022
Packet Pickup and Late Registration:
March 12th: Noon to 6pm at the Village Runner in Redondo Beach
March 13th (race morning): Beginning at 6:30am on Catalina Ave. near the starting line
Race Schedule:
The 5K run/walk begins promptly at 8am.
The Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold heats are separated by age groups and start approximately at the times listed below.
9:30am Ages 8-9 Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:40am Ages 6-7 Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:45am Ages 4-5 Distance: “Dash”
Costume Contest
Feeling festive? We’ll be hosting our annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K costume contest prior to the start of the race at the event stage in the Coffee Cartel parking lot from 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Enter the contest for a chance to win the following:
1st Place – $100 Village Runner gift certificate
2nd Place – $75 Village Runner gift certificate
3rd Place – $50 Village Runner gift certificate

Awards for the overall male / female winners of the 5K run are:

The top three finishers in each age division receive race medals.
Benefits:
Celebrate and give back to our local students. The Redondo Beach St. Patrick’s Day 5K directly benefits the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation and other local schools and running programs. A portion of YOUR registration fee from this race and our 4th of July race goes to these deserving groups each year.
