Shake your Shamrocks! There's a new 5K in town!
There are two ways to find your 5K pot-o-gold.
March 12th: Onsite In-Person in Conover, NC.
DIY [Virtual] 5K anywhere you like from March 5th until the 13th.
The YMCA has been a community staple in Conover for over 50 years. Our programs have always provided health, wellness, education and fun to this community and we are excited to offer a brand new 5K to our community. Funds raised from the Leprechaun Leap will help ensure all families who want to be a part of the Adrian L. Shuford, Jr. YMCA are able to.
SCHEDULE:
FRIDAY: March 11 @ Adrian L. Shuford, Jr. YMCA
4:00 - 6:30pm: Packet Pick Up & On-site Registration
SATURDAY: March 12 @ Adrian L. Shuford, Jr. YMCA
7:00 - 8:00am: Race Day Registration & Packet Pick Up
9:00am: START
10:00am: Awards Ceremony (In the gym)
ENTRY FEES:
5K
January 1 - March 11 = $25 [Youth: 1-12: $15]
Race Day = $30 [Youth: 1-12: $15]
DIY 5K: January 1 - March 13 = $25
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS:
Trophies to the Top Three Overall Male & Female winners.
Custom Medals to the Top Three Male & Female Age Group Winners:
9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, *70 +
DIY 5K
This “Do It Yourself” event will allow participants to run or walk at any time and in any location that is convenient for you. Run a local 5K route, around the block, on trails,12.5 laps around the track, or even run on a treadmill. You don't even have to live in North Carolina - so please invite friends and family in other states or countries to join the fun. See addition detail under the "DIY 5K Info" tab above.
