Description: Please join the Lexington Cross Country team for their 2022-2023 fundraiser: Proceeds will be used for
Lexington Cross Country team’s expenses (out of town meets, gear, etc.) & funding a new timing system for our Cross
Country & Track programs as well. Your participation in fundraising will keep the traditions that we have started with this
program strong! Chip (Bib) Timing will be provided in BOTH races by Brandon Daniels with Eagle Eye Timing.
Where: Beginning at the Lafayette County Courthouse enjoy plenty of historic sites on your run as you wind your way
through a few historic districts, past several beautiful historic homes, onto a newly developed “Rails to Trails” trail and back
to the courthouse. The course will be marked with signage and markings on the road/path.

After the race, stay a while and enjoy our Grand Bicentennial Parade, opening of a time capsule
buried in 1972 as well as living history events and reenactments throughout the day. The day
ends with some fantastic local live music. You won’t want to miss!
When: The Lexington Bicentennial 1 mile fun run/walk will be hosted at 8:30am and the 5K Race will be hosted at
9:00am on June 25th, 2022. Race-Day registration will be from 6:00-8:15am.
Cost: For mail in entry please make checks payable to: Lexington Cross Country OR sign-up online
- The Bicentennial 5K Race will cost $35 for pre-registration and $40 for race-day registration which includes a race
t-shirt and finisher medal (as supplies last race-day). We will also be recognizing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each age
group. - The 1 mile fun run/walk will cost $25 and will include a race t-shirt ONLY (NO AWARDS).
Awards: medals/trophies will be handed out at the awards ceremony which will be held on the steps of the Historic
Lafayette County Courthouse at the conclusion of the race for the overall male and female winners in the 5K race as well as
age division 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (male/female) in the 5K race (age divisions noted with registration on back). NO AWARDS
FOR THE 1 MILE FUN RUN/WALK (CHIP/BIB TIMING WILL STILL BE PROVIDED).
