Event Description

This race is perfect for seasoned racers, walkers and those who've never run or even walked 3.1 miles. Grab your strollers and favorite pets -- they're welcome, too! Virtual participants: You can even track your mileage over the week to total a 5K. (How many trips from the couch to the fridge would you need?) 

All participants receive a race T-shirt. Medals will be awarded for the top male and female overall and master’s (40+) finishers, and the top 3 male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. Virtual participants can submit their race photos to compete for prizes in a variety of creative categories. More details to come.

Teams of four or more people can register to receive a $5 discount per person for either the in-person or virtual event. Virtual teams don't have to complete their 5Ks together.

In 2021 we served 312 families, which includes 1,000 individuals -- 5600 of which were children. Your support makes a tremendous difference in Lawrence, KS, and Douglas County.
