Event Description

The 1st annual CDA 5K Summer Series for the Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer takes place along the North Idaho Centennial Trail with views of the Spokane River. There are three separate 5k races held on July 13, July 20, and July 27. Come out for one race or do all three! It starts at NIC college and goes out 1.5 miles to the turn around and back to NIC for the finish. This flat fast course will have you reaching that PR you've been working for all season. Or you can bring the whole family and enjoy a fun family night with a little run/walk on the night's agenda. Don't forget to take in the sights of the river and view the interpretive signs along the course that remind us of the pristine water we drink every day from the Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer.   Be one of the first 100 to register for all three 5k race to receive a race t-shirt. All finishers of each race receive a custom race bracelet. Winners of each race receive a prize and age group winners receive an award.  Stick around after the event to learn a little more about why the Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer and the water you drink and use every day is so important!

Race bibs will be handed out at 5:15 p.m. on race day

Race will start promply at 6pm.

Race day registration available for $10.

Parking available in NIC lots.

Awards will be given out starting at 7pm.

Dress according to the weather conditions for that day.
