Event Description

The DRS Run for Research is a fun way for friends and colleagues around the world to join together in their support of the DRS Research and Education Fund (R&E Fund).  The race will help raise funds to support early investigators from across the globe through travel scholarships offered for our 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting, and support the DRS Research and Education Fund which will help establish future scholarships and grants to our members.

Funds raised from this VIRTUAL run-walk supports dysphagia research and education.  You can show your support any number of ways.  You can sign-up as an individual and raise funds, join a team and compete against others around the world to see who can raise the most funds, or sponsor the event.

Participants choose to run or walk 5k at anytime and anywhere during the week of June 19-25.  You can participate by yourself, or with others.  If interested, sign-up as individual or join a team.  You can then ask others to support your run/walk.  And watch the leaderboard to keep track of where you stand in the race!  Registration is just $45, and includes a complementary race t-shirt.  Participants that register before May 31 will be mailed their t-shirt prior to week of the event; all other participants will receive their t-shirt following the event.

You can also participate as part of a team.  You can create a team, or join an existing team at sign-up.  We will have awards for the top 2 teams that raise the most funds.  To create a join a team, select the "Team" drop down at the top of the page.
