Event Description

Enjoy an early summer run or walk through the Paradise Valley Conservation Area, where you will experience 90% single-track trails through fern-covered forests. This shady course of foot trails winds through the woods with minimal elevation gain, making it beginner-friendly for joggers and walkers but potentially fast times for competitive runners. The event is hosted by Farmer Frog, a local non-profit organization with the mission to cultivate programs, school gardens, and hands-on learning to nurture communities. All the race profits will benefit Western Wildlife Outreach.

After your run, stay for the day for the Bear with Me Festival hosted by Farmer Frog. The event will have speakers, vendors, Hungarian Food in the barn, expert lead wildlife trail walks, a bear trap/release demonstration, and more.

WWO works with our partners to provide science-based information to community groups about the ecology, biology, and behavior of these species and the low level of risk associated with living with them. By engaging communities in long-term wildlife and habitat stewardship activities, WWO programs foster an appreciation for the large carnivore’s niche in maintaining ecosystem health, providing critical context and links to other environmental recovery efforts happening throughout Washington and the northwestern US states into British Columbia, Canada.

Hosted by Farmer Frog. Please do not use the Paradise Valley Conservation Area parking lot. Park at the Church of Maltby at 9322 Paradise Lake Rd, Snohomish, WA 98296 .Shuttles will run starting at 7:30 AM between Farmer Frog and the parking area. No permit or payment is needed for parking.
