Check out the OTHER Activities:

Below are some ideas for Healing for HS Adventures! There are NO set times you can do these at any time on JUNE 4th. But please be sure to share with us on or after June 4th. Suggested minimal hashtags for all sharable content; #hsconnectorg #mindswithmotions #healingforhswalk2022 #hidradenitissuppurativaawareness

*Write, Draw, Paint - This can be anything it doesn't even have to be HS related.

*Meditate - you can take pics or video, but you can also keep this activity private

*Create something unique - This can be anything (crafty)

*Journal - a private activity. Take time for you and only you even if it's for 10 minutes

*Take photos of wherever you are - at any time on June 4th. Share you day with us!

*Paint rocks for HS Awareness - this is a GREAT activity the whole family can do and has been a HUGE hit CHECK OUT LAST YEAR IN REVIEW Here

*Make Posters - HS awareness poster, get creative, or don’t, there is no right or wrong, take pics and please share

*Light a candle for HS - This is a very beautiful ceremony that we have done every year. You can dedicate it to somebody; it can be an honor of the warriors we have lost. You can do this during the day or night. Light a candle (you can use fake candles too) but please partake in this and send your photo or post your photo using the hashtags. This is a great way to end our Healing for HS walk.

Scavenger Hunt Challenge:

Search for things that start with the letters A - Z - Try to find ALL letters, the menial is to find at least 20 items. Take video or pics. KIDS love this one too!

Look for the following items and take a selfie with a mailbox, streetlight, wood gate, red brick, bench seat, birdbath, bike, dog, cat, bird, truck, blue door, red door, Chalk drawing, street sign, green car. BONUS something of your choice! BE SURE TO SHARE.

Whatever other activity or adventure you choose to participate in the most important thing is participation and sharing. Share somewhere on social media, in our private Facebook group Hidradenitis Suppurativa Unique Fun Facts Support Group Join HERE OR in our public Facebook page HS Connect - HSCONNECTORG HERE. If you're shy or not comfortable sharing, please email us; contact@hsconnect.org and we will share anonymously on your behalf.

 Why We Walk

Three years ago, Wanda Lee of Minds with Motion, LLC started this tradition as a mom who wanted to walk to bring awareness to Hidradenitis Suppurativa, a hidden disease that her daughter lives with. It has since turned into a GLOBAL event! She rounded up her closest friends and they helped her with the first walk in the United States, which went virtual. The people that Wanda has met along the way are a major reason she has made it her mission to keep building this walk! It is so important to share, connect and give hope to folks living with this disease. They can struggle emotionally, physically and mentally. Everyday she sees her daughter face these challenges with her daughter, and that is what keeps this mamma bear going!

LIMITED HEALING FOR HS WALK SHIRTS CAN BE PURCHASED HERE!
