Event Description

Date: Friday, July 22nd
Location: Roane County Committee on Aging Building (Start/Finish Line located at Pavilion by Washington Park)
811 Madison Ave., Spencer, WV 25276
 
Sign-Ups: 5:00 PM
Races: 5:30 PM
Pool Party: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Entry Fee: $10 + 5 canned food items (kids ages 10 and under - $5 entry)
Food collected will benefit low-income seniors in the community.

PATCH & Jack Garrett Ford are excited to host the 2nd Annual Dash and Splash 3K!  This was one of our most popular events last year.  Walkers and Runners complete the 2 mile course on the Ben's Run Trail system, then hit the pool for a cool down after!  Sign up on race day or pre-register online to guarantee shirt size.  The Start / Finish line will be set up at the pavilion between the COA and Washington Park.  There will be a short kids race prior to the start of the main race.

Dash and Splash 3K course starts at the pavilion in between the COA Building and Washington Park.  There is a short road section around the COA then racers enter the Ben's Run trail system for approximately a 2 mile counter-clockwise loop on Ben's Run and Lobotomy Trails.  There are some short climbs and uneven terrain but lots of shade from the summer heat!  Difficulty level is intermediate.  If we get rain leading up to the event consider wearing shoes you don't mind getting a little muddy.  To view the route on Strava click here.
