Event Description

Please join us for the first annual BCCHF 5k on Saturday October 15th, 2020.at 7:30 AM. Race start and finish will be at the hospital parking lot with course taking you through the south side of town. Afterwards, join in the Huckster's Day fun in the historical downtown district.

**It is important to note that approximately .5 of race is on small pea gravel (Trail of Memories just south of the City Pool). If you have any specific questions about this portion of the race, please feel free to send us a communication note and we'll be happy to get back with you.**

The Bates County Community Health Foundation’s is a 501(c) 3 who's mission is to:

  • Create opportunities for caring individuals and families in our area to participate in providing top-quality health care for all residents of Bates County and the surrounding area.
  • Work to improve the quality and availability of health services to the Bates County area.
  • Support the health and well-being of the surrounding area by connecting resources with needs in the community.
  • Secure assets for the advancement of charitable, scientific and education activities in and around the Bates County community.

Money raised will go directly to the health foundation and provide scholarships for those entering a health-care related field.

  • The Gehm Scholarship is for four years, payable $500 per semester, for a total of $4,000, provided that the recipient stays in a health care field and maintains the required GPA.
  • The BCCHF Health Care Scholarship is a one-year, $1,000 scholarship, for residents of Bates County who have already been accepted into a chosen health care field. The applicant must have a GPA of 3.0.
