Event Description

The World AIDS Marathon, half marathon, 10 and 5K races will be presented by the Rockaway Business Alliance to benefit the Richard M. Brodsky Foundation. Proceeds will go to funding local and International projects including hospitals/medical facilities that help people living with HIV/AIDS and cancer, 4 orphan dinner dances in Kenya for 800 - 1,000 Kenyan orphans + medical care for 300 orphans, and a day of art and music for special needs kids in Kenya. Proceeds in America will be donated to St. John's Episcopal Hospital and Family Health Centers Long Island FQHC. Event details and schedule

Welcome to a World AIDS Running Event. The course is flat and fast (no hills at all) with spectacular ocean views every step of the way. Check in is at Beach 73rd street on the Boardwalk at 7 am Thursday morning. Pickup Bib tag, chip, and T-Shirt. Both 5K, 10k, Half Marathon and Marathon WILL ALL START AT 9:30am on boardwalk at Beach 73rd Street down the block from Check in. The course is flat with ample water spots.
