So kid. We hear you want a shot at the title. Well we've got just ONE question;

Welcome to the registration page for the 2017 Firebird, also known as USA Cycling's Colorado XC State Championships. A part of the Eagle Outside Festival weekend and its madcap shenanigans, the 2017 Firebird offers a few new twists and turns for competitors.

Up first? A brand new course. We'll be using elements of Boneyard, Pool & Ice, Redneck Ridge, Haymaker and the kiggass BMX track as portions of the course. Distances will log in at approximately 8, 12, 18 and 25 miles respectively...plenty of time for you to throw your mac down and burnish your race resume with the title CO State XC Champ.

Second on the list? KIDS RACE FREE. That's right. No fees (OK, it's a $1 fee so that we can make online registration work) for any preregistered rider that's 18 years old or younger. Can't register online? You can sign up on site...for $25. The cost of your free race is basically letting us know that you're coming.

ALL riders (juniors and adults) will need a one day or annual USAC license to compete. Annuals are available from the USAC site, or you can pick up an annual or one-day from the USAC folks on site. 

Looking for a bit more to do? We'll have over 50 brands on site demoing the latest bikes and gear. Not enough? How about 2 days of live music courtesy of the Bonfire Block Party including Robert Randolph and the Family Band? Need more? Lace up those sneakers and jump into Sunday's BEER MILE (non-alc categories available!). Not old enough for beer? Try the Milk & Cookies Run. Or join us for the kids' fishin' derby, the ChroMoly Chef Frankenbike Building Competition or the free Kids' Strider Races!

Still not enough? How about the annual Prana Sample Sale? Word on the street is that Smith will be unloading some stock as well.
