Event Description

The 38th annual Reindeer Romp 4 mile run & 1.5 mile walk is a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season while supporting the Salvation Army and Radio Park Food Drive! There will be food and toy box collections at both the Dukum Inn and TCC on race day! All registered runners and walkers receive a long-sleeve T-shirt, jingle bells, and post race refreshments. After the race enjoy a soft tissue massage by the SAAO stretch clinic!

Proceeds from this event will help support A.T. Still University's KCOM & MOSDOH class of 2025.

 

Event details and schedule

Race Schedule

The race will start promptly at 9:00 A.M. at  111 S Elson St, Kirksville, MO 63501. Both the 4 mile run and 1.5 mile walk will start at the same time.The course will start and end at the same location. The course is mostly flat running on Kirksville streets with some hills throughout. Race day morning may be cool, please dress appropriately for running in December. 

Race bibs are to be worn on the lower front of your outerwear. Please DO NOT detach the pull tab on lower part of the race bib!

Packet Pickup

Pick up packets at Thompson Campus Center (210 S. Osteopathy St., Kirksville MO.) December 9th noon-8:00 P.M. OR December 10th at Dukumn after 8:00 A.M.

Entry Fees

$20 for early registration (Deadline of December 7st, 5:00 P.M.)

$25 for late registration (5:00 P.M. December 7st - 8:30 A.M. race day)

Make checks payable to ATSU TCC.

You can also mail or bring payment to ATSU TCC, 210 S. Osteopathy St., Kirksville, MO 63501.

You can deduct $3 from the entry fee if you donate three non-perishable food items at the time of registration.If registering by mail, indicate food items to come later and deduct $3 from entry fee.

Awards & Results

Awards ceremony immediately following the race at Dukum Inn - merchandise drawing and refreshments provided.

Top three runners in each age division recieve medals.

The 4 miles & 1.5 mile overall fastest male and female runners recieve trophies.

1.5 mile participants receive certificates.

Inclement Weather Policy

We run rain or shine! In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to delay the start or cancel/alter/modify the race/course for the safety of runners or volunteers. Please monitor the weather and any communications sent out from the race director to make sure you are prepared and remember that each runner needs to make their own independent determination of whether to run given race day conditions based on their health, training, and personal comfort level.
