Event Description
Overview
October 26 – 29, 2017. Join Dave on his epic cross-country ride for his Southern Arizona segment where the sun-warmed roads, towering cacti, and jagged mountains will keep you inspired on this Old West Cycling Challenge in support of 100 Pedals!
You will be amazed at the sight of the mighty saguaro cactus, lush green vineyards, sparkling lakes, and snow-frosted peaks soaring to 10,000 ft., known in these parts as the Sky Islands.
This is the famous wild-west country of Tombstone, but today the climate is both, bike friendly and hospitable. Our cycling trip begins in Tucson, a hotspot for cyclists from around the world. The first ride of the trip will explore the amazing beauty of Saguaro National Park before we head south to bike through Sonoita wine country, approaching the far reaches of Arizona’s southern border and finishing in the most famous town of the Old West – Tombstone!
This one-of-a-kind professionally managed and guided cycling experience will feature:
- Cycling in Arizona’s wine country and the famous Old West
- Inspiring words of Dave Cooke, Founder of 100 Pedals
As an adventure challenge participant, you will:
- Challenge yourself on multiple dimensions, strengthen your leadership skills, and enhance your quality of life.
