Event Description

A premier, one-of-a-kind destination sports festival weekend, complete with challenging courses, scenic views, eight competitions, and fun activities for every age group and competitor, beginner to elite. The Lake Lure Olympiad offers the ultimate challenge - "3 Races in 3 Days" - featuring the 10K Dam Run, Sprint Triathlon, and Race to the Rock. Athletes can spend the days enjoying full-on endurance activities, plus leisure and relaxation all at one place. End your summer with a challenge, a training platform, and exciting festivities, while enjoying fun in the sun with family and friends in beautiful western North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. 

A variety of activities begin on Friday including a golf tournament at 8:30 am, and race events and Opening Ceremonies at 6:00 pm. Competitions continue on Saturday with the Triathlon, Pickleball, and Junior Olympiad from 8 am - 1 pm. Then ending the weekend on a high note is the 5K Run or 25 Mile Bike to the top of Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park. Plus, awards ceremonies, post race food, live music, and a beer garden!
