Event Description

Sponsored and produced by the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the 20th Annual LA Cancer Challenge (LACC) is one of Southern California’s largest and most popular charity races, held on the beautiful campus of UCLA. In honor of the 20th anniversary of the LACC, a 15K has been added to the line-up.

The annual Halloween-themed, family-friendly charity event will host thousands of attendees. Kids can also run for a cure at the Kids Can Cure Fun Run. It is the perfect opportunity for children ages two to seven-years-old to participate in the LACC.

The LACC is a great way to start celebrating Halloween with fun for the whole family. Highlights will include a Health & Fitness Expo, Halloween Kids Zone, celebrities, live entertainment and a Children’s Halloween Parade & Adult Costume Contest.

General registration includes a chip-timed event, 20th Anniversary LONG SLEEVE T-shirt, bib, custom designed finishers’ medal and a runner's gift bag. Custom winners’ medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age category. In addition to medals, overall 1st - 3rd place male & female winners for the 5K, 10K and 15K will receive prizes.

To date, the LACC has raised more than $7.3 million dollars for pancreatic cancer research. The Hirshberg Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer and improving early detection methods.
