Event Description
This is an FCC club members only ride in the Sierra National Forest from Shaver Lake to Wishon Dam to Courtright Dam or anywhere in between. There is the long ride of 71 miles that goes to both Wishon and Courtright Dams, you can do the 55 mile ride just to Wishon and Back. These rides both start at 8:00am. Then there is the 33 mile ride that starts at 9:00am from Dinkey Creek and McKinley Grove Rd.
There will be a rest stop at McKinley Grove for snacks on the way out and lunch on the way back. There will be water stops at Courtright Dam and Wishon Dam as well as SAG support.
Please sign up early so we can determine the amount of rest stop supplies that we need.
This ride is free to Club members. There are several options for this ride. C/D levels riders will start at Dinkey Creek Rd Park and Ride or available parking at the Shaver Community Center at 8:00am and they can ride to Wishon Dam with or without the Courtright option. B level riders will start at 9:00am from the parking area at Dinkey Creek on McKinley Grove road across the bridge. B level riders will ride to McKinley Grove and back (13 miles) or on to Wishon and back (33 miles) depending on the miles they feel comfortable doing.
