Event Description

The Five Points of Life and LifeSouth Community Blood Centers are excited to invite you to the 9th annual Five Points of Life Kids Marathon Citrus. It will be held Friday, March 1, 2018 at the Lecanto High School track, 3810 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, FL 34461.

To participate kids, kindergarten through eighth grade, complete 25 miles, one at a time, during the months prior to the marathon, logging each mile on the log sheet. To finish the full marathon kids will run the last 1.2 miles on March 2, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Lecanto High School track. All participants will receive a Kids Marathon Citrus race packet, race number (must be worn on race day), and t-shirt with their packets. On race day, those finishing the 1.2 miles will receive a finishers medal. Kids must register in order to participate.

Only one parent or guardian will be permitted to accompany each participant on the 1.2 mile run.  Other family members and friends are encouraged to attend and cheer on the participants during the run from the stands. Parents should not register to run.  Only the kids will need to register in order to receive a t-shirt, race bib, and finisher’s medal.

There will be no race day registration on event day.
