 5K Walk/Run Sunday, March 11, 2018
Let’s join with our friends and neighbors to walk or run!  
Together we can help make cancer screening a reality for all!
 Proceeds stay local and support PROJECT DETECT.

Check in begins at 7:30 am and the race begins at 8:30 AM
Registration fee includes T-Shirt, Goodie Bag, and Snacks

10 year Age Groups
19 and under to 80 and older.

Project Detect was initiated in 2005 by the Riverwood Ladies Golf Association (RLGA)
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide early detection screenings for uninsured and underinsured women and men who are at risk of cancer in the Greater Charlotte County Florida area.

Additional information:
Project Detect is funded by the Riverwood Community of Port Charlotte and is facilitated by the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic and Englewood Community Care Clinic.
  
Since its inception, Project Detect has raised over $310,000.00.
 
100% of the funds donated were used to provide mammograms and diagnostics for uninsured and underinsured women and men in our local community. 
 
In 2017 we donated   $43,000 to Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Clinic: $21,500 to be used for mammograms and $21,500 for all other cancer screenings.
 In 2017 we also donated $7,000 to Englewood Community Care Clinic.
