About Roosevelt, an International Baccalaureate Middle School
The Trick or Trot Trail Fun Run will provide a valuable opportunity for competitive runners, along with students, their families and neighbors to support the oldest middle school in San Diego, and the school that helped launch Meb’s passion for running through its PE and running programs. Funds raised from the event will enable the non-profit Friends of Roosevelt Foundation to continue and expand afterschool clubs such as Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA), Girls in Science, Garden Club, Junior Theater, Spirit Squad and more. Over 80% of Roosevelt students are low-income. These clubs provide many students a first exposure to enrichment programs and the variety of potential careers that are available to them.
