Event Description

Fun beginner and competitive kids & family (parent-child) friendly USA Triathlon sanctioned youth aquathlon (pool swim and run) event featuring a unique pool swim around buoys, family swim   together wave, transition area, and run on paved paths. Age specific Kids 7-15 yr. old distances, colorful tshirts, goody bags, special Finishers medals, and healthy refreshments for all. Age group race awards are 3 places deep, male and female, for kids competing in the following age groups: 7-8 yo, 9-10yo, 11-12yo, & 13-15yo. Participation only fun for family swim waves. A parent(s) must also sign up for the family wave to race with their child(ren). 

This is a fun non-wetsuit pool swim around buoys! Run on paved paths.

7-10yo: swim 50 yds., run .5 miles

11-12yo: swim 100 yds., run 1 mile

13-15yo: swim 150 yds., run 1.5 miles

This event is part of our USAT WEST REGION YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP TRIATHLON SERIES! Kids will earn points for top 3 places in each age group toward being a Youth Regional Triathlon CHAMPION!

Kids who place in Top 3 in their age group in at least 2 events in the series are eligible for Series Awards. Top 3 age group places earn 2 additional points at the Youth Regional Championship Race.

Event details and schedule

Event capacity limited to first 100 kids and families (parent with child(ren) registered.  Event will start at 12N-3p in swim waves. Packet Pickup will be on Friday, 3/23/18, from 3-6p, at Road Runner Sports San Diego.  Race day Packet Pickup at race Site will be limited to 11-11:30am before event start.  All specific event details and wave start times will be emailed to participants the week of the event.
