Event Description

HLÖKK (loo-k) named after a Norse Valkyrie. Valkyrie carry the bravest and best warriors to Valhalla. Come to Big Bear, California and test yourself on this beautiful and scenic course, offering several distances for all running abilities. Tackle your first trail race with a 15k, train for your next marathon with the 30k distance or become an ultramarthoner with the 60k race. Hosted by San Diego based charity Team Overwatch (501c3), come enjoy the mountains, run some amazing trails and support the military and veteran community all at once.

Event details and schedule

Bib, tech-shirt and finishers medal for all participants. Top Male and Female finishers in each category will receive a special award. Two well stocked aid stations will be available.

60k start time - 6am

15k/30k start time - 7am

12 Hour cut-off for all distances.

There will be two aid stations (course is a loop). Packet pick-up will be on 2 June in Big Bear at Rim Nordic (specific times to be announced) and day-of from 5am - 7am (60k pickup ends at 5:50am). 

Weather can be unpredictable. Bring Layers. Lodging is available locally. Camping is permitted at the venue!! Bring your tent!
