Event Description
Living Water International exists to serve those who lack access to safe, clean water. For the past 28 years, Living Water has completed over 19,000 water projects in more than 20 countries, bringing water, for life, in Jesus name to millions! We invite you to join us in Houston, or wherever you live, as we celebrate World Water Day 2018 and raise money for a new drill rig in Sierra Leone. This will be a great event for the whole family!
About the Event
Saturday, May 5, 2018
The 5k Run/Walk will be a chip timed race with awards for the top 3 in each age group. The race starts at 8am, and the course takes place along neighborhood roads. There will be a water station at the half way point. Baby strollers are allowed but please start near the back of the corral to avoid obstructing other runners.
The "Story of the Thirsty" Water Walk will be an interactive event for the whole family. Enjoy a fun morning out as you learn what it means to walk with those in need of clean water. This event is FREE but you do need to register. Donations are appreciated.
Please note that only children under the age of 14 need to be registered for the water walk and not adults accompanying them. There will be no mass start for the water walk. Participants are welcome to start anytime between 8:15 and 9:30am.
