Event Description
The TriGirl Super Sprint Triathlon will consist of a 200 yard open water lake swim, 8 mile bike and a 2 mile run. The TriGirl Super Sprint Duathlon will consist of a 1/2 mile run, 8 mile bike and a 2 mile run. Adult and youth race is same distance.
Directions: Alexander Deussen Park is located at 14899 Deussen Parkway, Houston 77044. This will take you to the main entrance to the park. Once in the park, drive all the way to the water to the large boat ramp and open air pavilion.
Swim: The swim takes place in Lake Houston and will be triangular with buoys. You will swim counter-clockwise with the buoys on your left.
Duathlon Run: The duathlon run will be out and back 1/4 mile
Bike: The bike will exit Deussen Park and go into Dwight D. Eisenhower Park, where you will make 1 loop before going back into Deussen Park for the finish of the bike segment.
Run: The run is out and back on paved roads and jeep trails.
Wave Start: This event will start at 7:00am with the first wave of athletes. The number of waves and time between waves will be determined by the number of athletes entered. The duathlon first run starts at 7AM with the first swim wave.
USAT Sanctioning: This event will be sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Everyone MUST have either an annual membership ($50 adult $10 Youth) or a One Day Membership ($15 adult ) to race in this event. Your USAT fees will be handled when you register through EZtoregister.
Awards: Awards will be given to overall finisher, overall master finisher and 5 deep in 5 year age groups in the sprint triathlon. The relay award distribution will be determined by the number of entrants in the relay division. The duathlon awards will be given to Overall, Masters and 3 deep in 5 year age groups and 3 deep in relays.

RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP FOR OUT OF TOWN RACERS ONLY.
NO REFUNDS: We cannot offer refunds or transfers or defer to another year. Please understand the cost that goes into putting on an event that are paid up front. We do allow you to transfer your entry to someone else if you wish. Please notifiy us prior to race day if you are transferring the bib to another person, who will need a USAT card or one day pass.
Shirts: Please be aware that we will not be able to switch shirt sizes at packet pickup. Shirts will be a women’s cut shirt so please size accordingly. You need to size up if you like your shirts roomy. If you register late, we can't guarantee you a shirt at packet pick up.
Chip Pickup: This race will be timed by Run Wild Sports Timing. You will be required to wear a timing chip on your ankle to cross the finish line. CHIPS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED with your packet. You MUST notify race personnel immediately if you drop out of the race at any time. CHIPS ARE DISPOSABLE AND ARE NOT RETURNED AFTER THE EVENT. YOU MAY DISPOSE OF IT AFTER THE EVENT.
