 2018 Butterfly gloWalk, 5K FUN Run & PaRty is taking Flight!
 A Family Friendly Fitness Event 4.14.18 on Downtown Tampa's River Walk

My Hope Chest's "Butterfly gloWalk, 5K FUN Run 2018" is taking flight at dusk soon... along downtown Tampa's beautiful Riverwalk!

This Family Friendly GloWalk 5KFun RUN FUNdraiser kicks off at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park on the water next to the Amalie Arena.

DJ Phil the Thrill will be kickin off the PRE-Event festivities at 6pm.  Arrive earl to visit the “Face Painters Station,” and "Wing Fitter’s Station" to fasten their wings!   Food will be avaialbe on site for purchase and full bar for those 21 and over.

Race starts at 8pm, runners first and walkers to follow along the Riverwalk and 5K route, donning their colorful wings, lots of groovy glowing BLING! You'll wear smiles for mileswhile enjoying the chill vibe and gorgeous Florida sunset along the river route.  Walkers will immediately follow runners for their 1 mile walk (or whatever makes you happy)  on the Riverwalk!  The 5K turn is at Curtis Hixon park where participants will be cheered for the last hurrah back to the finish line! Kids young and old will have fun at the KidZone and survivor can share stories and hugs in the Survivors Tent. 

Awards immediately after at GLoW Party and awards ceremony will follow to conclude the Butterfly gloWalk,5K FUN Run & Party Experience!

“My Hope Chest’s unique mission is a call to ‘ACTION’ honoring breast cancer Survivors focused on breast restoration, a little known aspect of the disease in need of much support.” said My Hope Chest Founder, Alisa Savoretti.  We are excited for even more Tampa Bay businesses, groups and individuals to join our crusade this year to help ‘finish’ for women what breast cancer had started. We are looking forward to an even larger turnout of folks at our 3rd annual event and party, raising funds and supporting our mission of ‘HAPPY’ and new beginnings for survivors!

Event details and schedule

Pre-Event Packet Pickup:

• Wednesday, April 11th 11-2pm at a Tampa Location (TBD) and in Pinellas at My Hope Chest in Pinellas. Details emailed week of April 2nd
  
• Thursday April 12th- 4-7pm at a Tampa Location (TBD) and in Pinellas at My Hope Chest in Pinellas. Details emailed week of April 2nd.
  
• Day of event - At Cotanchobee Park.... Registration Check In Opens at 6pm for packet pick up.
  

Registration/check-in open at 6:00 pm.  Please bring photo ID. Allwaivers must be signed to participate. Wrist bands for alcohol service.

Pre-walk/run Rally:  Kick-off gathering starts at Cotanchobee Park 6:00 pm!!

Walk/Run Starting Time: At dusk along the Riverwalk!  Runners will begin the race with Walkers immediately following after their start.  Depending on registration, we may have 2 heats.

Parking

Arrive early to park at any of the downtown parking garages.  The Amalie (Tampa Bay Lightning Garage), Channelside Garage and remember the TECO Street Car.  You can park in Ybor and be dropped right next to the race route on Channelside in just a few short minutes!

GloWPaRty!  Tickets for sale for non-race participants to join the fun and the GloWpaRty with full bar, music and raffle too.... Tickets at eventbrite.com $15 General Admission, $75 Open bar and food.   21 and over ONLY for alcohol service.

Course is ON the RIVERWALK!  Runners will have a 5K course down the paved walkway and back.  Walkers will have a 1 mile course.

What to Bring: Just you and your peeps!

After GloWParty- for non race participants- Please Invite friends to cheer you on and hang out with race Butterflies and friends at the GloWPaRty after the event. Tickets $15 donation in advance, $20 at the door. Available at Eventbrite.com

Have Fun! Sorry, no coolers, outside food or beverages.  

What to wear:  Dress yourself or your team in your craziest gear!  Neon colors, bling it out!  More "bling" available for purchase in our "Glow Station."  And bring your smiles!
