Event Description

**ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON 6/7/2018 AT 11:59PM**.  YOU CAN REGISTER IN PERSON AND PACKET PICK-UP AT MEDVED ON 6/8/2018 FROM 3PM-8PM, OR RACE DAY, JUNE 9, AT EAST ROCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL AT 7:00AM-8:45AM.***

This is the third annual 5k run and 1 mile walk in memory of Desiree Stockholm who was a Nurse Practitioner at Strong Memorial Hospital.  It is a fast, flat, road race through neighborhoods near East Rochester High School.  Proceeds from this race will be donated to the Daggett family from Fairport NY.  Zoey Daggett is a spunky 5 year old that has been battling a DIPG brain cancer since she was 3.5 years old.  The family has out-of-pocket expenses of $8,000 per month for chemotherapy.  This race will be timed by PCR Timing, packet pick-up will be at MedVed on June 8th, 2018, from 3pm to 8pm, and on race day at East Rochester High School from 7:00am to 8:45am.  There will be an honor balloon release at 8:50am, you can purchase a balloon for $1.00 prior to event to write a loved ones name on for the release.  Wheelchair division will begin at 8:55am, runners at 9:00am and walkers at 9:05am. NOTE:  If you are signing up to push a wheelchair, please sign up in the wheelchair division. There will be cash prizes to the overall male and overall female in first ($100), second ($75) and third ($50).  Medals to top three in age groups.  New this year will be a kids obstacle course, for ages 10 and under.  This is a USATF Sanctioned event.
