We look forward to seeing you Sunday, March 11, 2018 For the Year Of The Chicken Wing Celebration 5 At Buffalo Wild Wings Clearwater located at, 21688 US Hwy 19, Clearwater, FL 33765.
Our 5K begins at 9:30 a.m. from Buffalo Wild Wings using the Ream Wilson Trail which is entirely paved and family friendly so strollers are welcome. This race celebrates the year of the chicken wing around the globe! You will want to add this one of a kind chicken wing medal to your collection of unique races. Categories are available to encourage you to register with a friend and to bring the entire family. Please register early as the price increases with each hundred registrants. Our Xanadu Race Management races are kept under 300 participants so that we can offer each of you the "race local" experience. We draw a less competitive crowd however, each of you will be electronically scored and times are posted later online. Come join us March 3rd in fun and good health as you reach one or all of your 2018 finish lines. At each race you'll see dozens of teens as our races all support Finish Lines For Scholarships 501c3 and thousands of dollars go to deserving local teens every year.
Event details and schedule
Race morning packet pick up and check in begins Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. in front of the restaurant and the 5K will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the start finish line arch that you will see in the main parking lot.
EVERY participant must wear your assigned race bib (number attached in this email) with 4 pins (which we provide) on the very front of your shirt ONLY. This tells all officials that you have signed on site your waiver of release. Your bib number and waiver are both attached in this email so please print and bring it with you to expedite race check in. If you don’t have access to a printer we will have waivers on site. See attached.
At check in each of you will receive your race bib number and your promotional “RACE LOCAL” tech shirt, and your timing bib number which has tabs at the bottom that you can redeem at the post race for your beer and wing sampler at Buffalo Wild Wings as soon as you each finish.
If you get a poker chip handed to you at the finish line it means you are one of our top 15 males or 15 females to cross the finish line so bring it into Buffalo Wild Wings with you to redeem it for your glass framed award.
As soon as you register, your date is uploaded into our timing system so it’s very important that you wear your assigned bib number on the front of your shirt. Times will be posted later on race day in order of finish at www.727CanRace.com We purposely do not post times on race day in order to maintain our laid back and easy going crowd who purposely choose to race local in Tampa Bay where the finish line BELONGS ONLY TO YOU as you cross the line!
If you cannot join us for any reason on race day you can transfer your payment to any other 5K on our annual calendar. Simply reply with the word “defer” and your first and last name. Then email me a few weeks before the next race you are able to attend and we’ll reply with the online transfer code. We know you work hard for your money and it’s yours to KEEP! This is part of the race local experience.
