Who Will You Run For?
Donate Life Texas and LifeGift invites you to spend a morning with our loving and supportive community, whether you walk, run, volunteer or simply cheer on the crowd.
The Donate Life Texas 2nd Chance Run hosted by LifeGift honors organ, eye and tissue donors in 109 Texas counties in North, Southeast and West Texas. While celebrating the lives saved and offering hope to those still waiting, the event raises awareness of the need for organ, eye and tissue donation across the state.
Prices increase after July 11th.
Running 5K
Adult: $28.00 Youth: $18.00 *Youth 12yrs and younger
Walking 1-Mile
Adult: $28.00 Youth: $18.00 *Youth 12yrs and younger
*Youth pricing will be calculated at the end of registration on the payment page.
TEAM DISCOUNT: Teams who have 5 or more members will receive a $2.00 refund per member, youth members are excluded from this discount.

Teams
We encourage participants to create or join a team. Teams are a great way to honor those who gave, pay tribute to those who received, offer hope to those who continue to wait and remember the lives lost while waiting for the Gift of Life.
Get creative! Make team t-shirts. The largest team will be recognized on stage after the race and receive the largest team trophy! TEAM DISCOUNT: Teams who have 5 or more members will receive a $2.00 refund per member, youth members are excluded from this discount.

Donor Remembrance Tent
Now Accepting Submissions - Deadline is August 4, 2018
To honor your loved one’s lifesaving gift, the Donor Remembrance Tent will feature a display of 2nd Chance Run Remembrance Cards. If you have registered for the event, there is no charge for these. The cards measure 5 inches in height by 7 inches wide, and can be personalized with your loved one’s name, a photo, and a few words of tribute. Awards will be presented at the end of the race at the race village stage.

Packet Pickup

*Pre-race day packet pickup is highly encouraged. However, onsite packet pickup will be available.
Strollers & Pets
Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcomed. For those participating in the 5K, you are asked to start behind the timed runners so as to not trip anyone.
Inclement Weather & Cancellation Policy
The race will take place rain or shine. However, in the event of inclement weather (tornadoes, hail, thunder and lightning,) we reserve the right to cancel. If lightning is within 6 miles of the race start line, race officials will make the decision to delay the start until the lightning clears. We will make announcements of any changes through social media and over the race PA system. Participants and spectators should follow LifeGift on social media to be made aware of weather updates. There are no race registration refunds if the race is cancelled. Due to the nature of the event the race cannot be moved to another date.
Medical Aid and Medical Personnel
There will be EMS services on site with a bike unit, or golf cart access to all areas of the site. If you have a medical incident, please get the attention of any of the LifeGift staff and volunteers and EMS will be dispatched.
Hydration
It’s Texas in the spring and the heat and humidity are unpredictable, please be safe and stay hydrated. Water Stations are located in the Sponsor Village and approximately every mile on the course.
Please don’t forget about your 4-legged participants, water bowls are provided at each water station and the village.
