Event Description

Tour Summary:

Times Square has been called “The Crossroads of the World” and “The Great White Way”. It’s the center of the Broadway Theater District and one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world, with countless giant jumbotrons, bright flashing lights and wall to wall tourists all snapping photos at the many breathtaking sights. Our Times Square Run Tour will give you a chance to see all that Times Square has to offer. And because our tour begins at 8:00AM, you’ll be able to see more with fewer pedestrians to slow you down. You’ll get a quality workout while experiencing the most iconic district in New York City.

The Course

Our 5-mile tour begins at Columbus Circle at the southwest entrance of Central Park near the A,C,B,D,1 subway lines. We’ll then head south towards Rockefeller Center, then to the heart of Times Square. We’ll run west on 42nd Street to the Hudson River then back to the Broadway side of Times Square. We’ll end our tour right back to our starting point at the entrance pf Central Park where you can extend your run, shop at the Times Warner Center or head back one of several available subway lines. We will run primarily on city sidewalks at an easy pace.

What to Expect

This is not a race, it is a group running tour that will be led by licensed NYC sightseeing guides who are also certified running coaches. To insure no one is left behind and that all can hear the guide we will run at an easy, conversation pace. We will make periodically stops to view and discuss notable points of interest throughout the tour. You should be able to comfortably run 5 miles for this tour. The duration of the tour is approximately 90 minutes. Although your guide will run with a backpack and can store small items for you such as phones or keys, we recommend bringing very little on the tour. As always, it's important to stay hydrated during a run, so please bring a small bottle of water. We will begin our tour right at the scheduled start time, however if you are running late please be sure to email or phone us no later than 15 minutes prior to the start. Travel to and from our tours is usually fastest via subway, so please bring a MetroCard.

- We will meet at the southwest entrance of Central Park at Columbus Circle in front of the USS Maine National Monument.

- Closest Subway Lines/Stops - A,C,B,D,1
